I’m new to poker, and I’ve been trying to learn how to play. I’ve been watching the WSOP all day, but I’m not sure if they’re playing Texas Hold’em or not. What style are they playing?

World Series of Poker tournaments are generally Texas Hold ‘Em, however, they do also play stud and draw poker.

Unfortunately chances of finding accurate win/lose % of a highstakes player are unlikely they dont just go around posting this info for the public. But if you know there online poker name you can search statistics on them at www.sharkscope.com as well as www.pokerprolabs.com

Question by Clwcch: Did anyone see Phil Hellmuth on last night Poker After Dark give Tom Dwan well over 100K?
1st he raised with 9 7 off suit, then got re-raised X3.5 his raise and called. Dwan had J 10 suited and when all cards came out was something like 10 7 Q 10 5 (no flush chances) and I believe with about 90K in pot he called his bet of around 100K to lose big to him!

Yeah, Durr is the best NL Hold Em player right now imo. He’s capable of making that massive overbet on the river with air, or the nuts.
He balances that bet pretty well too, seemingly knowing when, and against who, it will work.
People are so afraid of being bluffed by him, especially the proud pros on TV, that they’ll make insane hero calls with like middle pair, just trying to catch him once.
Hellmuth dodges bullets, but he also dodges winning pots by folding strong hands in stupid spots. He’s a legend, but people know they can push him around.
